Who is Christ?

PRAYER: Dear God, I lift up men to You today.  I pray that You will continue to reach out and draw them to You.  I pray that every man will have his deepest spiritual need met... to know Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior.  I pray that men will stand up and be strong God honoring and God fearing men who live their biblical values, who are loving and full of Your joy, who are disciplined and focused, who are honest and just, who are accountable leaders.  May You touch them today and every day.  Anoint them to fulfill the special purposes and tasks You have planned for them.  Guide them, direct them, protect them as they go about Your business and as they live each day as beacons of Your love and examples of Your strength.  May they become great men of integrity and influence, great leaders in their homes, amongst friends, communities, nations or the world-according to Your desires for them.  May they give and receive respect for others, as they respect Your Word and Your Will.  We love You, Father, and thank You for hearing our prayer.  In Jesus' name, amen.

IF YOU HAVE A PRAYER IN YOU SPIRIT THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE, FEEL FREE TO SEND MY WAY AND I WILL INCLUDE IN AN UPCOMING GOOD NEWS.  READING THE WORD, DEPENDING ON GOD AND JUST PRAYING--MAKES YOU A MORE CONFIDENT PRAYER PARTNER.

MATTHEW 22:41-46
WHOSE SON IS THE CHRIST:

41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,  42 "What do you think about the Christ?  Whose son is he?"
"The son of David," they replied.
43 He said to them, "How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him 'Lord'?  For he says,
44 'The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet." '
45 If David calls him 'Lord.' How can he be his son?"  46 No one could say a word in reply, and from that day on no one dared to ask him any more questions.

The Pharisees, Sadducees, and supporters of Herod had asked their questions.  Then Jesus turned the tables and asked them a penetrating question--who they thought the Messiah was.  The Pharisees knew that the Messiah would be a descendant of David, but they did not understand that He would be God Himself.  Many people today don't get this as well.  I've been told that, they believe Jesus was a great man, but just a prophet like Mohammed.  An example of a good man.  Sorry, but Jesus is much more than this.  Jesus quoted from Psalm 110:1 to show that the Messiah would be greater than David.  The most important question we will ever answer is what we believe about Christ.  Other theological questions are irrelevant until we believe that Jesus is who He said He is.

I've never doubted in my mind ,EVER, that Jesus is God.  I'll be honest and say, when you think about it-it does get confusing.  How can God be Father, Son and Holy Spirit?  Well, He is God!!!!  Greater than anyone and anything we will ever know.  He can do All things, He can be everywhere at the same time, He can hear and answer every prayer that comes His way...  We don't know how He does all of this, and yet we believe.  Even those who turn to Him as their final resort, somewhat believe this.  Well, believe this, Jesus Christ is our LORD and Savior.  He is God and He came to earth to experience EVERYTHING we go through.  And to make the most unselfish sacrifice ever made for anyone.  And the most awesome thing is that He knew Your name, He knew my name, when He was making the sacrifice of His life.  Because He loved us.  Trust we serve a God that knows all things, and has a plan in action that is for our good because we have accepted and serve Him.  God is good!  Jesus is real and alive today!  And in Jesus' name we can do all things, according to the Will of God.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE CHRIST?
