Denial

Prayer: LORD, you are my shepherd, I shall not be in want. You make me lie down in green pastures, You lead me beside quiet waters, You restore my soul. You guide me in paths of righteousness for Your Name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Thank You for placing this wonderful prayer on David's heart, and preserving it so that we can offer it up to You as well. In Jesus' name. Amen. (Psalm 23)

DEATH & RESURRECTION OF JESUS, THE KING

Matthew 26

Jesus Predicts Peter's Denial v. 31-35

Then Jesus told them, "This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written:
'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'
But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee. "
Peter replied, "Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will."
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times."
But Peter declared, "Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.". And all the other disciples said the same.

Jesus was laying it all out for the disciples. And yet, they continued to miss the fact that Jesus knew everything. He wasn't guessing that every disciple would fall away from Him or that Peter would deny Him. He was stating God's facts. Yet, they could not believe this. Is it hard for you to admit the worse about yourself? If we continue to deny it, we can't change it.

All the disciples declared that they would die before denying Jesus. (We will read in the future, if you don't already know the history,) a few hours later, however, they all scattered. And Peter sure did deny Jesus, as Jesus watch him do it. People say "Talk is cheap" and it is! People know how to talk a good game. Tell you all the things you want to hear, but where is the follow-through? People are so lacking follow-through today. It is easy to say we are devoted to Christ- and usually it's easiest when we're talking to believers. Are you able to declare your faith and speak about your Savior with and/or around your non-believing friends? Are you able to claim God's victory with them? Sometimes I think twice about keeping the web address of The Good News in my email signature when sending emails to certain people from my mac. WHY???? No longer, I've admitted my fault in order to change. Satan can only use what we keep secret. And he has no power over me. Our claims about our God are meaningful only when they are tested in the crucible of persecution. How strong is your faith? Is it strong enough to stand up under intense trial? Better yet, is it strong enough to show up in your daily actions?

DEATH & RESURRECTION OF JESUS, THE KING

Matthew 26

The Lord's Supper * part 3 * v. 26-29

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body."
Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until the day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom."

Each name we use for this sacrament brings out a different dimension to it. It is the LORD's SUPPER because it commemorates the Passover meal Jesus ate with His disciples; it is the EUCHARIST (thanksgiving) because in it we thank God for Christ's work for us; It is COMMUNION because through it we commune with God and with other believers. As we eat the bread and drink the wine/grape juice, we should be quietly reflective as we recall Jesus' death and His promise to come again, grateful for God's wonderful gift to us and joyful as we meet with Christ and the body of believers.

IMPORTANT: TO TAKE PART IN COMMUNION, YOU MUST BE SAVED AND REPENT-ASKING SINCERELY FOR FORGIVENESS OF ALL YOUR SINS. - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

It's not just a wafer and grape juice... You might ask, "How does Jesus' body and blood related to the new covenant?" People under the old covenant (Old Testament- those who lived before Jesus and followed God's law given by Moses) could approach God only through a priest and an animal sacrifice. Now ALL people, you and me, can come directly to God through faith because Jesus' death has made us acceptable in God's eyes (Romans 3:21-24).

The old covenant was a shadow of the new (Jeremiah 31:31; Hebrews 8:1), pointing forward to the day when Jesus Himself would be a final and ultimate sacrifice for sin. It doesn't mean the law isn't as important as it was then, but we don't have to find a perfect lamb anymore because Jesus was exactly that. The Lamb of God slain on the cross, a sinless sacrifice, so that our sins could be forgiven once and for all. All those who believe in Christ receive that forgivess.

WE HAVE VICTORY OVER DEATH AND AN ENDLESS FUTURE WITH JESUS.

God is bringing us back!

I don't know if you see it, but I do. People are being introduced to God and are stepping into relationship with Him of their own free will. And they are excited about it.

God is bringing His people, back to Himself.

Be Prepared

This afternoon I realized that preaching is NOT only speaking in front of a pulpit or congregation or sending out daily emails/blogs (LOL).

Preaching is also in our actions. Preaching is how we live our lives. And therefore preaching the good news to everyone should be easy when it is a part of who we are. Preaching the good news is not just for select people, it is for all of God's children to do.

So in order to figure out our method of "preaching," we are to bring forth what God has called us to do. Treat every where we go as the missions field. Many people believe they have to go far for a missions trip when the need can be right in your own home. How can you serve people in Africa, when you can't serve in your own city? How much more prepared we become when we live in this state of spirit and mind. Therefore, when we cross the ocean, city or state lines, we're sensitized to serve the needs of the people, because God has used what's before us to train us for every next step.

Today, a friend told me about feeding the homeless. And how wonderful it was. It wasn't about asking "Do you know Jesus?" It was about giving the people Jesus in all that she did. I was inspired by this because we don't do this enough. We aren't out there helping enough. And another revelation is that it's not about helping only those lacking $, but we need to attend to the poor in spirit as well- which includes stretching a hand out to the rich. The rich really need to meet God, in order to learn that their money will not save them in the end. And what good they can do with the great monetary gift placed in their hands.

It's time to set ourselves apart Christians!
-walk in love of the Truth
-walk in obedience
-do not participate in the madness that is contrary to God's Word
-Acknowledge Jesus as the one and only Savior
-do not lose what you have worked for in God's honor; you will be rewarded fully
-don't run ahead, thinking you got it. The journey with God is endless. You'll never reach an ultimate top because you don't need to.
- always come up against the wicked, for God will always be there.

*So many people want to meet nowadays, which is great. But after the meetings, how are we affecting the Word?

"In the name of Jesus, that's not who I am anymore."

Hallelujah!

Prayer: Dear LORD, keep me from needless questions and worries over the affairs in my life. You lead me and You walk with me; every step of the way. When I am on accord with Your plan, I can face anything. LORD, help me to dismiss personal attacks; for I should only be concern for those struggling around me because they don't know You and/or need guidance in getting to know You better. I trust You, Father. You rescue us. You deliver us, when we delight in You. From our mother's womb- YOU have been our God. Thank You. In Jesus' name, amen. (Proverbs 19/Psalm 22)

DEATH & RESURRECTION OF JESUS, THE KING

Matthew 26

The Lord's Supper * part 2 * v. 20-30

When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve. And while they were eating, he said, "I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me."
They were very sad and began to say to him one after the other, "Surely not I, Lord?"
Jesus replied, "The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born."
Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, "Surely not I Rabbi?"
Jesus answered, "Yes, it is you."
When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

First, don't you love how Jesus was just chillin' with the disciples? He wasn't standing before them or sitting at the head of the table. He was reclining with them, because Jesus is a friend. He is definitely a friend of mine. Jesus is comfortable with us like He was with the disciples. He desires to chill with each one of us, in every area of our lives. From waking up in the morning, to sleeping through the night- to every little thing we do in between.

ARE YOU CHILLIN' (comfortably) WITH JESUS?

(v.25) Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, "Surely not I Rabbi?"
Jesus answered, "Yes, it is you."
This makes me laugh because Judas had already set his deceitful plan in motion and attempted to lie to Jesus. And our Savior is so awesome, He calls Judas out. He couldn't fool Jesus and neither can we. We say we have a heart for Jesus, yet we continue to live lives that are so dirty and unpleasing to Him. When we don't do as Jesus has called us to do- then how can we honestly say we love Him. When I sin, it's about me. And my life is suppose to be about Him. I have got to make changes. I'm compelled to make changes.

I believe Jesus called Judas out, and then had communion with him purposely. Jesus knew He was going to be betrayed by this man and called him out to his face; Yet Jesus didn't treat him any differently than the other disciples. Jesus forgave Judas before he had even did anything. Jesus is here for us as well. Loving us, already forgiven us and He desires to commune with us. Let's get it together ladies and gents. Let's make bold decisions to do what He requires of us. LOVE- this good, deserves faithfulness, honor, respect, obedience and our lives completely. Don't get it twisted, you won't miss out on anything, because with Jesus you get a life!

IT IS TIME TO LET GO! AND COMMIT ALL WE DO, ALL WE ARE TO GOD. DON'T COMPROMISE FOR SIN AND TEMPORARY PLEASURES!

Who Calls You Beautiful?

Is this every girls dream? For someone to see them as beautiful? A parent, a boyfriend/husband, anyone?

I don't know how this works or effects men- but would love to know if anyone would love to shed light on that view...

Whatever you think- God made each one of us. Wonderfully and Fearfully. God made YOU beautiful. You don't need anyone to confirm that. On His own, God put beauty in you.

Do you believe it?

Don't weigh your value on what humans think of you. People sway with the wind. You are the salt of the earth- with your own taste and flavor. Don't let man trample on that. Different is beautiful. So stand out, don't hide.

Let your hope be in God, because though each of us are unique, when we come together no one stands out because in Christ we all blend together beautifully.

Just think about it...

I'm so blessed to have the different "flavors" of people in my life. No one is the same in my life, but yet when we come together- the majority are like family to me. I am someone who still keeps in touch with people from elementary, jr high, high school and college- from almost every job I've ever had in life and from all of my different experiences. And this is because God has blended us together beautifully to effect this world for His Name and Glory.

You're amazing! If no one has ever told you that, I'm telling you- You are. God did not make anything less than amazing. Walk in the glory God placed over you. I know I am! The lie of the enemy can die in the pit with him. Because it will no longer affect me.

The Good News : Where Do You Want Me LORD?

Prayer: Be exalted, O LORD in Your strength; we will sing and praise Your might. Rejoicing in Your strength. Thank You LORD, for directing us to do things in season, so that we reap a great harvest. Thank You LORD, for the understanding that draws out of deep waters the purposes of our hearts. Great is our joy in the victories You give. Thank You for granting the pure desires of our hearts and not withholding any requests that are of Your Will. You have welcomed each of us with rich blessings and You place the rightful crown on each of our heads. We asked for life and You gave it to us. Length of days forever and ever. Our glory is only great through the victories You give. You bestow splendor, majesty and eternal blessings over Your children. We are made glad with the joy of Your presence. We trust in You LORD, for everything- every little and big thing. Through Your unfailing love we can walk this earth and never be shaken. Those who devise wicked schemes and plot evil, CANNOT succeed. For You are LORD over everything and everyone. The Most High's spirit and power is victorious over everything. I'm grateful to be under Your watchful care. In Jesus' name. Amen (Proverbs 20/Psalm 21)

DEATH & RESURRECTION OF JESUS, THE KING

Matthew 26

The Lord's Supper * part 1 * v. 17- 19

On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?"
He replied, "Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, 'The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.' " So the disciples did as Jesus directed them and prepared the Passover.

The first thing that gets my attention is how the disciples asked Jesus where he wanted preparations made. They could have taken it into their own hands and just did it their way- convincing themselves that He would honor their initiative. But they knew Jesus. He knew everything because He was connected to Father God. Why wouldn't they ask him? Jesus' reply had specific directions. If they wouldn't had asked Jesus, they would have definitely gotten it all wrong. In verse 19 "The disciples did as Jesus directed them..."

How many of us can say the same? How many of us can say, I'm doing as Jesus directed me? Do you take the time to ask Jesus what He wants you to do and take the time to hear His answer? Because He will answer. And just like He was specific with the disciples, He is as specific with us. I can testify to this! I didn't make it to New York and back to California... And to where I'm heading next without first asking Jesus where He wanted me to be. But are you looking for His answer? Are you willing to wait for His answer? And when you receive it, are you doing EXACTLY as He has directed you?

The Holy Spirit is digging deep today!!!!!!!!!

When the disciples asked Jesus for directions, they were asking FOR Jesus. When we ask for things, they are often for ourselves. Let's get it right people. Let's come to Jesus and ask Him how He would like to use us, what (or who) does He want us to prepare for Him. Let us wait for directions. And let us move exactly as He has directed us. Jesus is concerned with us, we will in no doubt benefit - BUT- our benefit cannot be our focal point, it can't be what drives us. It has to be Jesus. And like the disciples, we will celebrate with Him in doing what He has commanded us to do. We are to live in the authority of Christ Jesus. When He sent the disciples to the man, He told them to say, "The Teacher says...". Are you sharing what our Teacher says?

This is why so many people labor in vain. They are not doing what they have been directed to do.

PRAY THAT JESUS RENEWS and REDIRECTS OUR FOCUS TO HIM.
-pray for one another-

Give it up!

Have you ever known that you needed to give something up... that letting it go would change your life infinite times for the better... and once it was gone, you wouldn't miss it at all. Yet, you just won't take that first step of letting it go.

You know what's "a hell of a drug"- LUST!

You think to yourself, "I can control it, I got this!" What foolish thoughts. We don't have anything on our own. Without God, it usually has us. And sorry to be dramatic, but it is out to destroy our lives.

I know what it is for me. What is it for you? You shouldn't have to think really hard, I'm sure while you were reading that first paragraph it come to your mind- but you tried real hard to push it away.

Trust me! I understand. There are thoughts going through my head of all that I would miss out on-but then I'm reminded that God says don't worry about that what I think I will miss. Because I'm honestly not missing out on anything if it's not God's Will for me. I would actually only be missing out on purpose while partaking in the wrong things.

A good move to make: "I will make my schedule around Your Word." I use to think that meant just time (morning and at night, and some of us throughout the day), but revelation came and corrected me- this also includes the activities I choose to get involved in. Our activities need to be scheduled around the Word. What we do and don't do. How much we take on. What we push aside.

(1 Peter 2:1-12) Rid yourself of all malice and deceit, hypocrisy, envy and slander of EVERY kind. And GROW in your salvation. Don't be one of the people who disobey the Message that God destined for all of us!

Abstain from sinful desires. Because do you know what sinful desires are? They are war against your soul. Why would you want to just give them access and power?

And finally do all this to live a good life, so that people see your good deeds and (they) glorify God.

It's not about you. But we have to deal with ourselves and correct ourselves and grow in order to effect others for God's purposes.

Check your self before you wreak yourself (for real!)

DEATH & RESURRECTION OF JESUS, THE KING

Matthew 26

Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus v 14- 16

Then one of the Twelve (disciples)- the one called Judas Iscariot- went to the chief priests and asked, "What are you willing to give me if I hand him (Jesus) over to you?" So they counted out for him 30 silver coins. From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him (Jesus) over.

We sale our soul for the dumbest things! Sex,fame, money, praise from people, earthly comfort, possessions, drunkenness, greed, lust, acceptance and so on. Judas sold out Jesus for 30 silver coins. WHAT??? The man he had come to know intimately. Judas was one of the 12 men closest to Jesus. He saw every miracle, he knew Jesus' nature and character, Jesus loved him. Judas knew there was no reason to give his friend over as a criminal. But he did it anyway. And for what? 30 silver coins, the price of a slave in their day. Judas allowed his greedy desire for money and status, led him to betray Jesus.

Jesus loves YOU!

WHAT ARE YOU SELLING JESUS OUT FOR?

Don't Give Up!

What a shocking day today was for me spiritually, but in a good way. Without going into too much detail (because I haven't been released to share as of yet), today I was really ready to give up on something that I'm near the finish of. And I told God I needed to know if what I am doing is in vain or of His building. I had been having little hiccups of giving up for about 2 weeks now, but today I was going to actually do it. Have you ever gone through this?

Well the Word is my - "set her straight" tool. Went straight to it and was told to RELAX! God doesn't pressure us, we put ourselves under such unnecessary pressure that the Accuser (satan), uses the pressure to preoccupy us with the wrong things. Things we believe we're doing for God. God said, "Relax" so that I can respond to His giving.

Then He sent me to Galatians 6:1. WOW! Another confirmation of something that has been sitting and stirring in my spirit for a long long time.

Then finally God had His child speak to me and without revealing everything I had on my mind- this person was obedient to Christ and touched upon EVERYTHING! I mean EVERYTHING! I was and still am amazed at all that was confirmed for me. The caution that was spoken to me. It's heavy ladies and gents. I welcome the responsibility and I'm excited -but I know it won't be easy. It has never been easy, but now I totally know WHY!

Insight is my priority. The catch it's not even for me. It's for you! And the people I will encounter in this lifetime.

Change is coming... With God, I can't be the same as I was yesterday!

Bunches of Ohhhhhhs!

Bind my mind to the mind of Christ- how? Through His Word, putting God first and staying focus on what concerns Him.

Commit my decisions to the Will of God.

Submit my emotions to the control of the Holy Spirit.

Be prompt in fulfilling my responsibilities.

Integrity and uprightness will protect me because in committing to these- it places my hope in God and not in anything I could do.

My life should be a glimpse of good living and of the living God to others.

I'm still learning how to stand firm. Letting nothing move me.

Lately, my heart is for men. That they come to understand Who God is and that they submit to Him. Having the courage to live knowing that they can't make it without God. Men, truly on fire for God are huge influences. They can do so much! A strong man is someone who depends on God. And there are so many men out there that just won't get hip to this. Pray for the men!

*Don't forget the benefits of God. Grace, mercy and peace.*

What do you want to do?

Yo! I get this question a lot. Especially now that it looks like I'm not totally career focused. And honestly, without a doubt my answer is whatever God wants me to do, where He wants me to be- that's what I want to do. I can list all these things I'm interested in- list things I'm good at, BUT "I tell you the truth" (loves when Jesus says that) I'm not completely convinced that these areas are where I'm suppose to be. And if they are, not in the capacity that I can imagine. It's really ALL in God's hands with my full consent. Not like He needs it, but it's so awesome to be that open and vulnerable to His control.

So what do I want to do?
I want to actively share my faith with others, and gain a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.
I want to acknowledge every need I see and be able to administer to that need in some way.
I want to repay all things with good.
I want to care for my family (natural and spiritual)
I want to wake and do as God commands
I don't want to do anything for praise from men

So I am in the process of clearing my mind and heart. I am changing my habits and eliminating that which wastes my time and my mind. Committing today to filter the JUNK out every day. Informing myself and others. My hope is set on God and He will continue to deliver me.

*ASK, BELIEVE, DON'T DOUBT*
I will not be double-minded, unstable in all I do.

I can do anything with Christ Jesus. I see it everyday! God has saved the best to now! He is turning dirty water into fine wine. Trust me You will continue to see His Glory in my life.

Are you activating His Glory in your life? I sure hope so!

DEATH & RESURRECTION OF JESUS, THE KING

Matthew 26

Jesus Anointed at Bethany v 6- 13

While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste! " they asked. "This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor."
Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. I tell you the truth, whenever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."

I love when Jesus says " I tell you the truth..." as if He would ever lie.

This woman was Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, who lived in Bethany (John 12:1-3). Just as Mary's gift to Jesus was misunderstood, many people today are criticized for trying to share their special gifts. Judging the amount of your tithe to God. Judging when you go to church. Judging how involved you are in church and what you're involved in. Judging what you do with your time day to day and on the weekends. People love to judge, not having a clue of what God is telling you to do and where to be. Whatever your gift may be, be comforted by the fact that your gifts are acceptable, accepted and appreciated by the LORD when given in love. He understands our motivation; he accepts what we bring.

Mary's gift was hospitality. What kind of hospitality does Jesus receive from your life? Are you so busy planning and running your life that you neglect precious time with Him? Or do you respond to Him by listening and reading His Word, then finding ways to worship Him with your life? It is that kind of hospitality He longs from each of us.

FATHER, HELP US TO GIVE CHEERFULLY AND TO ACCEPT GRACIOUSLY!

Are you...

Doing exactly what you thought you would doing in your life?

I'm not! Seriously, I had corporate dreams! Now, I have new dreams. Not all clear, but my desires have certainly changed from when I was 14 and only desired to work at MTV. That mission was accomplished and I have definitely moved on, never to turn back- but continue to move forward.

I am not afraid. I'm learning to stand firm because I know I will see the deliverance that God is bringing. He has never failed me, so why would He now? I only need to be still, for my desire is that in whatever I do, God gains the glory. People will know the LORD. My God in everything in my life.

So as the Word tells us, I will be strong and courageous; knowing success comes in obeying God. I will not allow discouragement to overtake me. I will ask and receive, seek and find, knock to find the door opened to me.

I desire to devote my whole heart and soul to seeking the LORD-it's a journey to learn to do everything I do for God. How easy it is to forget sometimes. Desiring to do good is a good start.

It's not just for me, it is for my children, grandchildren and their children. Just as David prepared and provided for Solomon. We are to do the same. Not knowing the exact plans- but making sure there is foundation set. I don't believe God gives us desires to taunt us. But sometimes the end results aren't for us. David wanted to build the Temple- but God said, that's for Solomon. BUT because David had that desire, he prepared and planned; and Solomon was set when he began. Remember that as you're trying to figure things out in life.

This has definitely helped me to let go of somethings that I thought were so important. They no longer are. My heart is open. Prayer is key!

It's Your time!

DEATH & RESURRECTION OF JESUS, THE KING
Matthew 26

The Plot Against Jesus v 1- 5

When Jesus had finished saying all these things (in Chapter 25), he said to his disciples, "As you know, the Passover is two days away-and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified."
Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, and they plotted to arrest Jesus in some sly way and kill him. But not during the Feast," they said, "or there may be a riot among the people."

I find it so interesting that at the same time Jesus was telling His disciples that it was almost time for His crucifixion; that the priests and elders were plotting against Him-as if He didn't know.

How does this apply to our lives? Well, God knows everything that is going on behind the scenes. And as Jesus trusted God, even to His death. We should be able to trust Him in the many issues and circumstances in our own lives. As we press into God and hear from the Holy Spirit, many things are revealed to us. We have to Trust God's Word to us. We have to remain obedient to whatever He has called us to do. Because no matter what, it is in His hands and no matter how bad it looks or feels-God's outcome will resurrect all He has planned and purposed for You.
Trust Him my friends! I encourage all of us to trust Him on a new level today.

He's Just Not That Into You

Have you seen this movie? ***spoilers ahead***

This Gigi character is so pathetic. So pathetic that her little speech to Alex didn't make me cheer for her. Does pathetic equal hope? I don't think so.

First, what's wrong with us and not wanting to be alone. These movies, these tv shows, these songs-- keep telling you it's not ok to be single. That to be alone is to be a loser.

I ask myself, well I don't have to ask myself. I know I've fallen into this dumb lie. It is a LIE from the enemy. When we are not complete, content and fully satisfied in Jesus, then no one will fill that void.

I write about this subject, not because I believe I'm doing anything right or that I am above anyone; but because I've been a victim of this foolery too many times. This foolish thinking that impacts my thinking and my actions.

I'll share with you, I just (finally) deleted someone from my life. He is at the moment all kinds of wrongs for me. Just has my head in places that it shouldn't be and with what he has been giving me in the past month and a half is basically- that he's just not that into me. :( how sad right?

Well, not really- because what this guy doesn't understand is that I have a relationship with God. I have no ill will towards him and the desire on my heart is to just pray for his soul and God's love and influence over his family. I was tripping for a while, asking God- why did I meet this man? Why did he intrigue me? Because he is not normally what catches my attention- and he didn't really (ha!) But that's a long story. In the end he finally got my attention- and I wanted to know why?

It may not be to have any type of relationship with this guy. Or any other madness my mind can come up with. We can place NO confidence in our flesh. But I'm definitely sure it's to pray for him. Sometimes we get so caught up on "me" that we forget that maybe it has nothing to do with us. That God wants us to do what He has created us to do. And one of those things is pray.

Ok back to the movie...

And then the girl accepting that the man will not marry her after living with her for 7 years, just because he came to help with her father. LORD! How far away from God's values can we move? You can live with me, but you won't marry me. I think playing house is cowardly. Sorry, I said it! And I don't think we should compromise. Look I understand there are circumstances that make living together look good. But when we do, we put in our hands, what should be in God's hands. And that's more than just living together, it's anything that places us right in the pit of temptation
-- ok so in the end, he does ask her to marry him, but seriously guys! Why should it take so much to wake you up? It's not about believing in marriage. Marriage is not God. It's about being able to commit to someone under God, join with them, grow with them, live in purpose with them, like you can never do with anyone else. Honoring God with a partner. I think that's an amazing gift.

I understand being turned off by weddings. They are so ridiculous today. They are all for show. Just like these dumb sweet sixteen parties (but we'll talk about that another time). When it becomes about money and being flashy over the celebration. Then it's wrong. It should be about celebrating. Stress should not be a part of that celebration. And the celebration should last a lifetime. I pray to God that whenever I enter that journey that I don't fall into what this world has created marriage to be, but that my husband and I faithfully stay committed to what God has called it and us to be. And that we remember that communication and prayer are key!

And that's no fantasy to me. With God all things are possible. I believe in what He can and will provide.

Everything follows obedience. <--- definitely a Word for me.

I could talk more about the movie, like the fact that there were no main characters with cultural backgrounds...in Baltimore!!... But I won't.

Good night!

Prayer: LORD, I pray that Your children, including myself, gain the wisdom and discernment to determine between living for this world, where the reward is in this life; and living for You- where our reward is eternity. You're so good, that when we live for You we reap benefits while living on this earth, but not for selfish gain. We are to put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. I pray that we take courage in You to stand up and out, and make bold and righteous decisions. Not getting religion confused with serving people. LORD, please break that spirit of religious judgment and separation and brings us back to the common ground of Your Holy Son, Jesus. In His name only, I pray! Amen

Matthew 25

The Sheep and the Goats v 31- 46 *part 3
Emphasis on verses: 31-33,41-46

Jesus continues to speak to His disciples about the final judgment:

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invited me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothed me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Jesus used sheep and goats to picture the division between believers (obedient followers) and pretenders/unbelievers.

Let's talk about the unbelievers today. Unbelievers and pretenders aren't just the evil folk, they can be the nicest people, but without Jesus that is exactly what they are- unbelievers and (many) pretenders-unfortunately sin is their god. They're able to justify to themselves doing what God is against. This may be hard to swallow for some people, but it's the Truth. God knows our hearts, we're keeping not one thing from Him. Unbelievers have every opportunity to sincerely turn to Christ, but when they decide that they're not about salvation, then they will suffer the consequences. Consequences of their own choice.

Hell is a real place ladies and gents. You can say it's not till the day you die, and it will still exist. Just like God will continue to exist, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, angels, demons and the devil. Eternal punishment takes place in hell (the lake of fire), the place of punishment after death for all those who refuse to repent (change from their sinful ways). When Jesus warns against unbelief, He is trying to save us from agonizing punishment and is offering for us to partake in His wonderful inheritance- forever. Do you want to miss that?

JESUS IS THE REAL DEAL

LOVE

Is it as simple as is seems? No. To love someone should be easy, but it's not.

I'll never understand how God loves each of us- and loves us unconditionally. How we can turn our backs on Him, ignore Him, reject Him, sin in front of Him, hurt Him, talk about Him (or not), mistreat Him and His children- yet, He still desires the best for us. He still wants us in His Kingdom. He desires for us to live out our potential.

How do we learn how to live this love in our own lives?

Forgiveness is the key. Forgiveness is completely letting it go. Never bringing it up to ignite flames and remind someone of their wrongs against us. God never says, "Don't you remember when you did this? Well, I do!" He absolutely doesn't work like this once you have sincerely asked for forgiveness and repented. He doesn't alter the way He interacts with us because of our wrongs, He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

God is interested in people and so shall we be. Our love must be sincere for one another. Prayer needs to be our first place for each other, because who better to turn to for help on another's behalf, but God. Cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly/sisterly love. Honor each other. We are all valuable. Share with one another and practice hospitality.

Apply this to not only strangers, co-workers and friends; but family as well. We take advantage of those we share blood with most. And it shouldn't be this way. Behave decently with everyone we come in contact with. Don't have enemies. If people want to hate you- cool; no one said you had to hate them back and model their ways.

Strive and determine to live in PEACE & HARMONY.

Love is displayed in your actions. Whatever we need to change, let's try taking that first step today.

Grace & Peace

Prayer: LORD, help me to celebrate family today! I've read, "what I celebrate will increase." Well, let us celebrate forgiveness, appreciation, encouragement, achieving dreams in my family. Let us celebrate our mutual and agreed servitude towards You! Yes, we celebrate Your presence in our lives. Even those who may reject You or not make You a priority now- because of those of us who are celebrating You, You are part of their lives too, and continuing to knock on their hearts in the name of Jesus- to put Your desires and priorities above any and all things that we could ever ask for. Surrounding us with Your love in spite of our sin. Let us celebrate standing together and influencing one another and this world with Your Glory. Let us celebrate, good communication; joining together consistently as we celebrate Your joy, love, compassion, long life, and happiness that You have appointed for us to share. LORD, thank You for Your loud cry over family, immediate and extended. Pour Your Spirit over us, so that the light can shine in each one of us and the darkness-anything contrary to Your Word- can have absolutely no place. Thank You LORD, instruct the parents and adults to discipline, instruct, teach, love and influence the children in order to affect our future generations with a blessed inheritance and not foolery. Open the hearts and minds of those children. Whether blood related, in-law, or friends that have become family-show us how to celebrate one another and love each other with the love of God in order to bring great increase to our families. Apart from You, we have no good thing. In Jesus' name. Amen.

The Sheep and the Goats v 31- 46 - part 2
Emphasis on verses: 31-40,46

Jesus continues to speak to His disciples about the final judgment:

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'...
Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Sheep and goats often graze together but were separated when it came time to shear the sheep. Jesus used sheep and goats to picture the division between believers (obedient followers) and pretenders/unbelievers.

Let's talk about the believers first. Believers are the sheep to their Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. The real evidence of our belief is the way we act. To treat all persons we encounter as if they were Jesus is no easy task. People are difficult. People will reject you, lie about you, disrespect you, embarrass you, hurt you... even kill you. But the fact is, they did all of this to Jesus, but wait! The real trip is that He knew it was all coming, and He still treated everyone He encountered with love, Truth, compassion and with the authority only God can give. This is what we should remember when we don't want to deal with someone.

This parable describes the acts of mercy we all can do every day. What we do for others demonstrates what we really think about Jesus' words to us: Feed the hungry (not only with food, the Word is bread as well), give the homeless a place to stay (this isn't always the bum on the street- it can be your mean sister in-law), look after the sick (sick isn't always deadly sick-common colds and mental sickness apply). These acts do not depend on wealth, ability, or intelligence; they are simple acts freely given and freely received. We have no excuse to neglect those who have deep needs, and we cannot hand over this responsibility to the church or government. Jesus demands our personal involvement in caring for others' needs (Isaiah 58:7).

I'm an offender of saying "that's not my ministry." And as soon as I said it I was convicted. If it's to provide service where it is needed then, as a child of God- it's your ministry. The focus of this parable is that we should love every person and serve anyone we can. Such love for others glorifies God by reflecting our love for Him.

We're not here to do it all, but we're also not here to ignore what we can do.

HOW WELL DO YOUR ACTIONS SEPARATE YOU FROM PRETENDERS AND UNBELIEVERS?

"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach the Good News to the poor." Isaiah 61:1

Under Pressure

I don't know about you, but sometimes I allow this unnecessary pressure to get at me. And because I know I can't disappoint God, it's really about disappointing myself. I don't want to be perfect, I'm not ashamed of my mistakes- but I am someone who would like to move forward, learning from those mistakes. Just get "it" right! Yet, sometimes it feels as if I'm back in the same pool of disappointment I was in years ago. Why is this?

I'll tell you now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my life. Nothing! I am blessed and I would like to thank God for everything in my life. I just aspire to do so much more and as I grow closer to God- my priorities change-it's less about just me and more about the people who surround me... And it sometimes feels like a burden. Not a burden anyone put on me, but that I walked into all on my own accord. And once I'm in something, I like to finish it. That's how God made me and I'm thankful for that. Yet, there are moments... Do you feel me?

Today, I have grabbed onto a scripture that I've read and re-read several times and heard in sermons and said like it was a saying from a fortune cookie. Have faith in God, NEVER doubt- believe (in Jesus' name) that I have received it and it will be mine. Just typing that has rejuvenated my spirit.

I am BELIEVING!!! I love that song by Journey, for the simple fact it calls out "don't stop, believing." Because when I do, that pressure is added. I know when I believe, I'm trusting in my God who is taking care of me. And I can't stop believing because my concerns aren't just for me. I've accepted the responsibility to stand for others whether they know it or not. And I can't believe for them, but I can believe that they soon will start believing in the mercy, grace and love of God soon.

And just think what we as believers can do, when we stand on one accord. That's my dream, that's what I'm looking forward to and no matter what- I will take on the yoke of Jesus, and His light burden (that honestly doesn't always seem so easy and light) because I know it's worth it.

Do you feel under pressure? I hope that this has encouraged you.

Believe!

Prayer: LORD, help me to appreciate my family. To forgive all wrongs and to move on in love. To encourage them spiritually and to achieve everything that You have set before them LORD. Let us serve You on one accord and put Your desires and priorities above any and all things that we could ever ask for. Let us stand together to influence one another and this world with Your Glory. I rebuke gossip LORD, how that telephone game can ruin a family. I rebuke heartless/cold communication. I rebuke insults to make one's self feel better. I rebuke isolation, because no one grows in isolation. LORD, there is a cry for family, immediate and extended. Pour Your Spirit over us, so that the light can shine in each one of us and the darkness can have no place. Anything that is contrary to Your Word- has absolutely no place.

Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

As we read these parables, please note that no parable by itself completely describes our preparation. Instead, each gives important details for the complete picture.
Today, just read the verses- tomorrow we will jump into what it means for us.

HOW DO YOU SEE JESUS IN YOUR LIFE? WHAT PLACE DOES HE HAVE?

Family

I love families!

There is a lot of drama and some pain that comes with them but there is also a lot of joy that surrounds the memories of family.

I've been grateful for the moments that I'm sharing with my own this summer. No matter what, the moments are precious and looking past any fault, attitude or offense- the joy of laughter, loving honesty and spending time with one another is always left.

Today, I was able to spend a wonderful day with my bbf's family. And I'm always in awe of them. When you think of a family that is blessed from generation to generation- they are a great example. A large family, mixed with different cultures and backgrounds and marriages and problems. I mean when the family begins to extends, you might not think they are related from outside appearance. But when you spend time with them, how they enjoy spending time with each other. From holding their heads under the water the longest to guessing the mathematical equation. You see what God means by joy, purpose, love, forgiveness, and all that jazz.

I love spending time with families in general, I get so much influence as to how I would like to raise my family and influence not only my children but my children's children. Shout out to great word from Joel Holm this morning. In a society that doesn't really point towards family, I choose to make it important.

I am someone full of mistakes, full of wrong desires, full of foolish thinking... And I praise God anyhow because when I'm allowed to see the things I see- I take it as encouragement. Not jealousy. But encouragement, that I too will grow and be continuously blessed. Because even with all my mess, God loves me. And He lives in me at all times. He will never leave me. And what He has purposed for me, from family, to career, to waking up in the morning is GOOD. My heart is steadfast on Him and His righteousness endures forever.

Struggle

We all struggle. And how devastating it is when you thought you were doing everything right. How devastating it is, when you-who lives in perseverance, suddenly wants to give up.

Oh, how God comes through-especially when you see no way out. Psalm 13

Confusion gets the best of me. Not knowing what is ok; knowing the difference between what are my own restrictions and which are God's. Not wanting to regret a choice weighs heavily.

It's good to take note of our sins. We need to remind ourselves of what we're asking God for forgiveness from. Again the Law is there to put our sins on notice, in order to repent from them and live a fuller life.

*Purpose to walk in love, seek peace, live in agreement, conduct ourselves towards others in a manner that is pleasing to God.

Have you ever taken the time to ask God, "What am I doing that doesn't please you?"

I have dreams and I pray God hears my earnest and humble prayer. I pray that I haven't given up, that I am going after all that He has appointed before me.

*Challenge- stop looking for praise from men. God's praise is all we need.

I will always pray and never give up, because God will not put me off. He sees to justice quickly. Praise God! He is good and His love endures forever.

Do you know that you are COMPLETE in Christ?
I don't feel like I'm totally living in this truth yet.
-seek the LORD, He answers
-God delivers from all our fears
-radiance and not shame
-God hears and saves from all our troubles
-the angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him.
-when we fear God, we lack nothing! Not one good thing.
-seek and pursue PEACE!
My thinking has got to change. I will keep my eyes on the LORD. When we take refuge in God there is no condemnation. Prayer is super important to me, and joining in prayer with others.

Glorify the LORD with me, let us exalt His name forever.

The Parable of the Talents v 14- 30

Jesus continues to speak to His disciples:

"Again, (the second coming of Jesus) will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them. To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. So also, the one with the two talents gained two more. But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.
After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. The man who had received the five talents brought the other five, 'Master,' he said, 'you have entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.'
His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
The man with the two talents also came. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.'
His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
Then the man who had received the one talent came. 'Master,' he said, 'I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'
His master replied, ' You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest. Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing teeth.' "

Jesus told the following parable to further clarify what it means to be ready for His return and how to live until He comes. In this parable, the master divided the money among his servants, according to their abilities (don't forget that important fact). No one received more or less than he could handle. If he failed in his assignment, his excuse could not be that he was overwhelmed. Failure would indicate only laziness or hatred toward the master. The talents represent any kind of resource we are given. God gives us time, gifts, and other resources according to our abilities, and he expects us to invest them wisely until he returns. Hey, only 2 days ago have I started to see my blackberry as a true resource. Not for irritating forwards or to have the latest cool gadget or just to communicate with friends or to be available to business 24 hours a day (blackberries & iphones should have a curfew) or to look busy in public when waiting for a friend. But to spread the Word and be there almost instantly when someone is in need. We are all responsible to use well what God has given us. The issue is not how much we have but how well we use what we have. Facebook/Twitter can even be resources, if people would stop using them to self-promote themselves & every detail of their lives and use it for greater purposes.

The man with the one talent was thinking only of himself. He hoped to play it safe and protect himself from his hard master, but he was judged for his self-centeredness. He also didn't know his master at all. We must not make excuses to avoid doing what God calls us to do. If God truly is our Master, we must obey willingly. Our time, abilities, and money aren't ours in the first place-we are only caretakers, not owners (Whoa! I know that hit someone hard). When we ignore, squander, or abuse what we are given, we are rebellious and deserve to be corrected.

Look, Jesus is coming back- whether you believe it or not. I know it to be true. Does this mean we must quit our jobs in order to serve God? No, it means we are to use our time, talents, and treasures diligently in order to serve God completely in whatever we do. For a few people, this may mean changing professions. For most of us, it means doing our daily work out of love for God.

This parable should show you the necessity of using well what God has entrusted to us! I know I want to hear, "'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!". Don't you?

We are here for each other

How we forget this important fact. It becomes about me me me. When it has nothing to do with you, most of the time.

When you read Matthew 3:4, what do you get out of it? Honestly, I never got a thing- I just thought it was a detail to describe the scene. But then it was revealed, John's concern wasn't his clothes, it wasn't what or where he ate-it was Jesus. How many of us toil over what we're going to where, what we're going to eat- get disappointed when someone chooses a place you really don't want to go. What a waste of our energy.

We really have to keep our eyes on Jesus. He is the focus, the most important-in everything we think, say and do.

I can do anything God says I can do! He hears me and He doesn't miss a thing. We're all accountable to God, whether you believe in Him or not. There is no difference, for we all have sinned and fall short of God's glory. But we're all able to be justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

God's Word is not there to make you feel guilty but to become conscious of sin. To know what isn't purposed for us. People don't want to be accountable and this is why they stay so far from church, the bible and people who believe in God. There is freedom in fleeing from sin. I have to say, in the last 46 days, I've never been happier- just living right! My concerns are not on dumb things, I'm not getting into situations that only lead to bad results.. But my clear conscience does not equal innocence at all. I am only made righteous through my faith in Jesus Christ and because of this growing faith, I'm making better decisions for myself and reaching out to other people like I never have before. If there are any wrong motives in my heart, I KNOW God will bring it to light.

LORD, lead me to a Rock that is higher than I.

In Jesus' name.

Matthew 25

The Parable of the Ten Virgins v 1- 13

Jesus continues to speak to His disciples flowing right out of chapter 24:

"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'
Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.'
'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.'
But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door shut.
Later the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said, 'Open the door for us!'
But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.'
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour."

Jesus told the following parable to further clarify what it means to be ready for His return and how to live until He comes. This parable is about a wedding. In the day this parable was originally told, the wedding day consisted of the bridegroom going to the bride's house for the ceremony; then the bride and groom, along with a great procession, returned to the groom's house, where a feast took place, often lasting a full week.

These ten virgins (also called bridesmaids in other text) were waiting to join the procession, and they hoped to take part in the marriage feast. But when the groom didn't come at the expected time, five of them were not prepared and were out of lamp oil. By the time they had purchased extra oil, it was too late to join the feast.

You know the bridegroom is Jesus (right?), because who else says "I tell you the truth" consistently in the Bible. Jesus only spoke truth. When Jesus returns to take His people to heaven, we must be ready. Through this parable we are taught that every person is responsible for his or her own spiritual condition. Spiritual preparation cannot be bought or borrowed; and cannot be done at the last minute. Our relationship with God must be our own and takes time to develop and grow. Start now, use all of the time that you have!

WILL YOU BE READY FOR JESUS?

Leadership

Did you know you're entrusted with God's Work?

And because of this, you have responsibility.

We're responsible to:
1) Distinguish between right and wrong.
-it's not about making decisions according to how you feel. It's about righteousness and justice in every area.
2) Distinguish your God-given resources and how you use them.
-are you loosing the chains of injustice, breaking every yoke, setting the oppressed free, sharing, providing, clothing...
3) Determine if you are leading people to or away from God.
-don't give people the room to question the authenticity of your faith. Their questions should not be about double mindedness, but more about the God you serve and why you love Him so much. And how they can experience that same love. For people to see love, we have to display it.
4) Make the decision: are you going to focus on yourself or on others.
-what are your intentions?
Be for others, no matter what is in it for you.
5) Your temper
-everyone needs to be dealt with respectfully
-learn how to communicate.

A leader-
Uses their God-given resources
Is humble
Is bold
Serves
Is selfless
Act in love
Acquires and uses wisdom, knowledge, understanding, correction (scripture)
Nourishes and feeds
Has compassion
Comforts
Protects
Uses their power correctly
Is organized
Teaches
Walks the talk-leads by example
Is willing
Doesn't think about return
Is caring
Honor isn't their goal
Is still teachable
Is honest
Is disciplined
Trusts
Happy with the simple things
Sacrifices
Works without looking for proper appreciation/praise (slave)
Goes after what God has prepared

Are you operating as the leader God created you to be?

Remember in your day to day: HUMILITY-COMPASSION-SELFLESSNESS
ALL ATTRIBUTES OF LOVE.

Matthew 24

The Day and Hour Unknown - part 2 v. 36-51

Jesus speaking to His disciples:

"No one knows about the day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

How would you live if you knew the exact date of Jesus' return? For me, I think I would be a little more careful and concerned about the small details that I sometimes just brush off my shoulder to deal with at a later time. "Why am I not concerned about them now?" is the question. I should be regardless of knowing the date of Jesus' second coming or not.

It is good that we don't know exactly when Christ will return. If we knew the precise date, we might be tempted to be lazy in our work for Christ. Worse yet, we might plan to keep sinning and then turn to God right at the end. Worse yet, we might do everything asked of us, without our hearts being in it- with the only selfish intention to skip hell. Having nothing to do with living the God kind of life and sharing that with others for their own good; experiencing the Kingdom on earth.

Heaven is not our ONLY goal ladies and gents; we have work to do here. And we must keep on doing it until death or until we see the unmistakable return of our Savior. I hope you know that there will be work in Heaven, we won't just be resting on clouds and listening to harps. God is preparing us for this work right now on earth.

Christ's second coming will be swift and sudden. There will be no opportunity for last-minute repentance or bargaining. The choice we have already made will determine our eternal destiny. If you are not using your time on earth to prepare for Heaven. What will be the purpose of you going to Heaven? Remember we serve a God of purpose. Jesus' purpose in telling us about His return is not to stimulate predictions and calculations about the date but to warn us to be prepared. The only safe choice is to choose to obey Him in every way starting today (if you haven't began already) Not out of fear of hell, force or even obligation- but because you love God and desire to spend this life and eternity with Him.

Jesus asks us to spend the time of waiting taking care of His people and doing His work here on earth, both within the church and outside it. This is the best way to prepare for Christ's return. Does this eliminate fun? No! It eliminates what could kill, ruin and destroy you. That's what the enemy does, but it all seems like fun and games right now. Knowing that Christ's return will be sudden and unexpected should motive us to be prepared. We are to live responsibly-not using His tarrying as an excuse to not do God's work of building His Kingdom or to pursue pleasure, nor developing a false security based on someone's calculations of events.

The Bible uses "Weeping and gnashing of teeth" many times, and you'll hear it more throughout the New Testament. The phrase is used to describe despair. Eternity in Hell will be nothing but despair. How horrible! Some people live some of that hell on earth. How I pray and hope people will seek their freedom. God's coming judgment is as certain as Jesus' return to earth.

WILL YOU BE READY FOR JESUS?

Pray for Peace

If you really think about it, the one thing (other than communication) that break relationships is the absence of peace. And nonchalant doesn't mean peace. It takes energy to be nonchalant about someone you once cared about.

How do we get this peace? Well, don't stop praying for one another. And the best time to pray is when you don't want to. Ask God to fill people with the knowledge of His Will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. So that they live a life worthy of the LORD and may please Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good works, growing in knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that they may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully give thanks to the Father who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of light.

Even if you drift apart, if you left them with this-only peace can exist in your heart. Not hard feelings, hatred, disappointment, etc.

What brings this peace? Forgiveness. We have to live a life forgiving one another. Which means not carrying that dumb burden of past hurts. This is a hard one. We're raised to do the opposite. Try taking the focus off of "me" and make request, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving for everyone. Not just who you like, but everyone. So that we can come in line with God's Will of all men being saved and coming to a knowledge of the Truth.

This is the best thing a friend and just a human being in general can do. And I choose to become a better friend and person every day.

How about you?

Matthew 24

Signs of the End of the Age - part 2.2 v. 15-35
(Emphasis on verses 20-30)

Jesus speaking to His disciples:

"Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now-and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect-if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time.
"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vulture will gather.
"Immediately after the distress of those days 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'
"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."

Jesus, talking about the end times may be scary to some of you. But if you're saved, there's absolutely nothing to be scared of. The trumpets of the angels will be calling you. But in the meantime know what Jesus was saying. He telescoped near future and far future events, as did the Old Testament prophets. Many of these persecutions have already occurred; more yet to come. But God is in control of even the length of persecutions. He will not forget His people- YOU and me. This is all we need to know about the future to motivate us to live rightly now.

In times of persecution even strong believers will find it difficult to be loyal. To keep from being deceived by false messiahs, we must understand that Jesus' return will be unmistakable (Mark 13:26); no one will doubt that it is He. If you have to be told that the Messiah has come, then He hasn't. Christ's coming will be obvious to everyone. So be warned and discerning about false teachers. They are still in our world. Upon close examination it becomes clear that many nice-sounding messages don't agree with God's message in the Bible. If it doesn't stand up to God's Word, it just isn't right. Don't fool yourself. Only a solid foundation in God's Word can equip us to perceive the errors and distortions in false teaching. I pray that the Good News is just one of the tools you use to help you grow in this area.

The nations of the earth will mourn because unbelievers will suddenly realize they have chose the wrong side. Everything they have scoffed about will be happening, and it will be too late for them.

DON'T LET IT BE TOO LATE FOR YOU.
