Be Prepared

This afternoon I realized that preaching is NOT only speaking in front of a pulpit or congregation or sending out daily emails/blogs (LOL).

Preaching is also in our actions. Preaching is how we live our lives. And therefore preaching the good news to everyone should be easy when it is a part of who we are. Preaching the good news is not just for select people, it is for all of God's children to do.

So in order to figure out our method of "preaching," we are to bring forth what God has called us to do. Treat every where we go as the missions field. Many people believe they have to go far for a missions trip when the need can be right in your own home. How can you serve people in Africa, when you can't serve in your own city? How much more prepared we become when we live in this state of spirit and mind. Therefore, when we cross the ocean, city or state lines, we're sensitized to serve the needs of the people, because God has used what's before us to train us for every next step.

Today, a friend told me about feeding the homeless. And how wonderful it was. It wasn't about asking "Do you know Jesus?" It was about giving the people Jesus in all that she did. I was inspired by this because we don't do this enough. We aren't out there helping enough. And another revelation is that it's not about helping only those lacking $, but we need to attend to the poor in spirit as well- which includes stretching a hand out to the rich. The rich really need to meet God, in order to learn that their money will not save them in the end. And what good they can do with the great monetary gift placed in their hands.

It's time to set ourselves apart Christians!
-walk in love of the Truth
-walk in obedience
-do not participate in the madness that is contrary to God's Word
-Acknowledge Jesus as the one and only Savior
-do not lose what you have worked for in God's honor; you will be rewarded fully
-don't run ahead, thinking you got it. The journey with God is endless. You'll never reach an ultimate top because you don't need to.
- always come up against the wicked, for God will always be there.

*So many people want to meet nowadays, which is great. But after the meetings, how are we affecting the Word?

"In the name of Jesus, that's not who I am anymore."

Hallelujah!
