Mark 10:32-34 (NKJV)

Jesus a Third Time Predicts His Death and Resurrection
32 Now they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going before them; and they were amazed. And as they followed they were afraid. Then He took the twelve aside again and began to tell them the things that would happen to Him: 33Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles; 34 and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.

Did the emotions of the disciples stand out for you?  They did for me.  First, as they see Jesus going before them, and they are amazed; BUT as they followed they were afraid.  Why?  Well, let's remember what Jesus had just said to them.

30 who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.

Because Jesus had just spoken to them about facing persecution, the disciples were filled with dread as they thought about what awaited them in Jerusalem.  But what an amazing sight they were able to behold; Jesus walking boldly, with determination and the absence of fear.

You, too, may be amazed by Jesus.  For He is GREAT!  How can you not be amazed by Him?  Yet, you fear something?  What is it?

Jesus' predictions about His death and resurrection were God's plan from the beginning and not accidents.  And guess what?  What God is calling you to do has been His plan from the very beginning as well.  God doesn't create "accidents"!

So today, I encourage whomever this message is for today to follow Jesus' example: Be BOLD, move with DETERMINATION, and let the fear go!  Jesus was able to do this because He trusted God completely, and desired to remain obedient to Him.  I encourage YOU to do the same.

Daily Prayer: LORD, thank You for speaking to YOUR child today in this message.  I know it is for specific individuals, whom You are calling to trust You; to obey You; to boldly move in the flow and power of Your Spirit.  I pray that obedience is their motivation today as they choose to trust You and never look back to this time where they allowed fear to rule.  You are the One True God.  Thank You for the life of Your Son on this earth, it is an everlasting example to us; that will never expire or be "out-of-date."  Hallelujah LORD, I sense FREEDOM for Your child today.  I declare that the enemy has failed in his attempt to delay or destroy Your Promise.  he has no power over the Blood that covers each and every one of us who have given our lives to You.  We have the victory, because the victory has already be declared and written by You!  Thank You FATHER!  In Jesus' Name, amen.
