TGN: MAKE THE TIME TO PRAY

Prayer: Psalm 91 has not stood out as much as it does today. It tells us that Your faithfulness is our shield and protection. The plain fact that You are faithful to Your children, protects us each and every moment of our lives. Thank You Father. Because of Your mercy alone, am I saved (Titus 3:4). Your living Word, is amazing. I'm excited about this time with You. I know that the right Word will stand out for those diligent in seeking it. Holy Spirit have Your way. In Jesus' name. Amen.

JESUS' MINISTRY IN GALILEE

Mark 1 v. 35-39 (NLT)

Jesus Preaches in Galilee

35 Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. 36 Later Simon and the others went out to find him. 37 When they found him, they said, "Everyone is looking for you."
38 But Jesus replied, "We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came." 39 So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons.

------

Jesus took time to pray. Finding time to pray is not easy, but prayer is THE vital link between us and God. Like Jesus, we must break away from others to just talk with God and listen to Him, even if we have to get up very early in the morning to do it!

Why the morning? So that the busyness of the day won't cause you to push it to not even happening. Why the morning? Because you want to enter the day assured that God is with You. Why the morning? Because this is a time you can usually be alone, and avoid the distraction of people and the issues of the day. It's fresh! Why the morning? Simply because God should come first. Before any and everything.

I'm not telling you, you have to wake up at 5a every morning. But how about starting with waking up 5 minutes earlier? To get on Your knees and pray (speaking aloud); and taking time to be still to hear from Him. When you make the effort, the Spirit will continue to be faithful to lead you in all the ways you should go.

We can make time for everything else. Can't we make time to pray?

- COMMUNICATIONS IS KEY IN EVERY RELATIONSHIP- EVEN WITH GOD.

**********************************************************************
Prayer: I shout for joy to You, LORD. I worship You with gladness; I come before You with joyful songs in my heart. I know that You, LORD are God. It is You who made us, and we are Yours; we are Your people, the sheep of Your pasture. I enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise; I give thanks to You and praise Your name only. For You are good and Your love endures forever; Your protective faithfulness continues through all generations(Psalm 100). Show me how to make time for You LORD. Teach me how to pray LORD. I desire to communicate with You; to know You on the most intimate level, through Your Son. Amen.
