TGN: Philip

Prayer: Thank You, LORD, for always turning to me and loving me; thank You for always having mercy on me. You are righteous and You are near. LORD, I do not want any sin to rule over me. Redeem me from the oppression of men. Let Your Word direct my footsteps. For Your commands are forever right, righteous, fully trustworthy, true and established to last forever. I desire understanding, so that I may live. I call to You with all of my heart and I know You hear me in accordance with Your love. In Jesus' name I thank You for total and complete healing. Amen (Psalm 119).

Emphasis on v. 18

Welcome back to the start of a great week. Let's jump back into our character study on Jesus' faithful disciples. They were ordinary men who became extraordinary because of Jesus Christ. Despite their confusion and lack of understanding during His lifetime, they became powerful witnesses to His resurrection. Their lives were transformed by God's power.

Next up is...

PHILIP

*Major Events in Philip's Life:
1) Philip told Nathanael about Jesus.
2) Philip wondered how Jesus could feed 5,000.
3) Philip asked Jesus to show His followers God the Father.
4) Philip and Andrew told Jesus that Greeks wanted to see Him.

*What Jesus said about Philip:
-Jesus asked if Philip realized that to know and see Him was to know and see the Father.

"Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." 2 Peter 1:20,21
